Picking Winners for Week 8 of the NFL
Here’s how I see the games going for this week with comments on some of the games.
Carolina Panthers at Green Bay Packers Green Bay, and they won.
Tennessee Titans at Cincinnati Bengals Cincinnati.
Baltimore Ravens at Buffalo Bills Buffalo. I don't care if Lamar plays or not. I think it will be a last minute win for the Bills with this game being in Buffalo.
Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers Pittsburgh. If this Pittsburgh team was just fiddling along at .500 or a touch better, I might pick the Browns because this Browns team is much better than expected, but the Steelers are playing some very good football.
Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars Jacksonville. The Colts are having a fire sale. They traded Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner. I doubt the mood of their players is any good right now.
Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions Detroit. I can see this game going either way. The Vikings have to lose at some point, and I think this is the week where they play an offense good enough to outscore their low scoring offense.
Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys Dallas. The Cardinals embarrassed the Cowboys last year in Dallas. I don’t think they can win there two times in a row.
Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tampa Bay. The teams are about even, but Tampa Bay is at home and playing better football lately.
Las Vegas Raiders at New York Jets New York Jets. The Jets are not the total embarrassment most everyone predicted. The Raiders are capable of playing well enough to win, but it’s hard for an average team to win on the road.
Los Angeles Chargers at Los Angeles Rams Los Angeles Rams.
Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos Denver. The Chiefs will play hard. I just don’t know if they can overcome the winning edge the Broncos almost always have in Denver. The Broncos have already beaten the Jaguars, Seahawks and Rams there.
New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins New England.
Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Commanders Washington. I’m not sure the Eagles can beat anyone on the road right now, even the lowly Commanders.
Chicago Bears at Seattle Seahawks Seattle. The Bears offense really fires with Caleb Williams back at quarterback, but it will fire blanks against the Seahawks defense in Seattle.
May God always be your number 1 draft pick!
