Picking Winners for Week 5 in the NFL

The Holy Trinity is the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

We have a trinity of undefeated and untied teams in the NFC. They aren't holy, but they do feel blessed to have not lost a game through four weeks of NFL action. They are the Seahawks, Vikings and 49ers. The 49ers play in Seattle, so one won't win. The Vikings will try to join the participants in that game as undefeated and untie. We have one other team that has not lost, and they won't lose this week. The Chiefs have their bye.

Here is how I see the games for this week along with comments on some of the games.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Dallas Cowboys Dallas, but they lost.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Jacksonville Jaguars in London Jacksonville. The Eagles keep games close, but they are really banged up while the Jaguars are playing very well.

Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers Chicago. Even with a backup quarterback, the Bears are just clicking better than the Packers right now. Ben Johnson hates the Packers, too.

Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints Minnesota. The Vikings are on upset alert, but their defense will likely pull them through again.

New York Giants at Washington Commanders Washington. This game is tough for me to pick. I can see it going either way.

Cincinnati Bengals at Miami Dolphins Cincinnati.

Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans Houston.

Indianapolis Colts at Pittsburgh Steelers Indianapolis. The Colts are better than their record.

Las Vegas Raiders at New England Patriots New England. The Raiders beat the Patriots at New England last year. I don't think they can quite pull out a win this year with Drake Maye starting to play better.

Cleveland Browns at New York Jets New York Jets. This might be a defensive struggle.

Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers Denver. Sean Payton has taken back play calling duties for the Broncos. The Chargers offense has struggled, and I think Payton will help get enough points for the Broncos to win.

San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks Seattle. The Seahawks defense is one of the very few who give Brock Purdy a lot of trouble.

Detroit Lions at Arizona Cardinals Detroit.

Baltimore Ravens at Atlanta Falcons Atlanta. The Falcons do the exact opposite of what everyone thinks they will do, so I pick a lot of their games wrong. Without Lamar Jackson playing and with the Falcons offense being red hot, I think they will win. Watch me be wrong.

Buffalo Bills at Los Angeles Rams Los Angeles Rams. This is one of the very best games of the year. I expect lots of points to be scored. Maybe there won't be as many as the last time they played, which was 86 points, but it should still be a blast to watch.
