Picking Winners for Week 11 in the NFL

Thought for today...

Earthquakes and hurricanes remind us that there is a God and we aren't Him!

Tennessee at Green Bay Green Bay, but Tennessee won.

Detroit at New York Giants New York Giants. Last week, I said that the Lions were horrible on the road, so they promptly went out and won in Chicago by one point. I'll dare them to do it again. I don't think they can.

Los Angeles Rams at New Orleans New Orleans. The Rams will have quarterback Matt Stafford back, but the Rams were not playing good football before he missed a week. I think the Saints will score just enough points to win, and I don't think it will take that many.

Chicago at Atlanta Chicago. I like the running game of the Bears. They have rushed for tons of yards in the last five games with QB Justin Fields getting most of them. It's just hard to tackle him when he scrambles out of the pocket. Also, this is a homecoming game for him since he is from the Atlanta area. I know the Falcons are the favorites, but I'll be surprised if they win.

Carolina at Baltimore Baltimore. Baker Mayfield is back at quarterback for the Panthers. He can be a decent player, but I can't see him leading his team to a win on the road against Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.

Washington at Houston Washington. This is a prime spot for an upset. The Commanders might take the Texans lightly. That would be a mistake, but I just can't bring myself to pick the Texans.

New York Jets at New England New York Jets. The Patriots have defeated the Jets 13 times in a row, including a five point win in New York earlier this year, so picking the Jets to win seems a bit silly. I don't think it is. The Jets have played good football against some good teams this year, and the Patriots have not played solid football this year, especially on offense. I think the streak will end.

Philadelphia at Indianapolis Philadelphia. The Eagles will be hopping mad after seeing their undefeated season go down the drain at home against the Washington Commanders. I think new head coach Jeff Saturday will have the Colts playing hard, but it won't be enough.

Cleveland at Buffalo Buffalo. This game was almost played in several feet of snow in Buffalo which would have helped out the Browns and their running game, but the NFL moved the game indoors to Detroit. That gives the Bills a huge advantage.

Las Vegas at Denver Denver. I think the Raiders have a better overall team, but they are not playing together. The Broncos offense is so bad that they might not be able to score enough points to win, but I'll take them as the home team to pull it out.

Dallas at Minnesota Dallas. I think the Cowboys will be angry from losing a game they should have won at Green Bay last week. They will need to be angry because the Vikings have a lot of weapons, including the best wide receiver in football, Justin Jefferson, and Dalvin Cook.

Cincinnati at Pittsburgh Cincinnati. The Bengals are chomping at the bit to get payback for the opening season loss they suffered to the Steelers. The Steelers defense will show up and make it tough, but I think the Bengals will win a close one.

Kansas City at Los Angeles Chargers Kansas City. The Chargers always play the Chiefs a tough game. I don't expect anything different this time. The Chiefs are on a roll, but the Chargers are desperately wanting a win and are getting back some of their injured players. It will take one of the Chiefs best games to pull this one out.

San Francisco vs. Arizona (in Mexico City) San Francisco. I think the 49ers are one of the very best teams in the NFL this year. The Cardinals season is slowly slipping away, and the 49ers are the banana peel that will accelerate their slip.

May God always be your number 1 draft pick!

Picking Super Bowl 58 Winner

If you had told me at the start of this season that the 49ers and Chiefs would be in the Super Bowl, I'd have said that makes a lot of sense. The 49ers are always good. I felt like they were either th
