NFL Division and Playoff Seeding Predictions for 2025

Verse for today...

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13

It's time for my predictions for the upcoming NFL season. Here is how I see the division races followed by playoff seeding predictions.

AFC East

1 Buffalo

2 Miami

3 New England

4 New York Jets

The Bills should have an easy time of it. Miami is a hard team to predict. It will be close between New England and them for second place. The Jets will go as far as Justin Fields can take them.

AFC North

1 Baltimore

2 Cincinnati

3 Pittsburgh

4 Cleveland

This division is really tough. The Steelers could surprise some people if Aaron Rodgers plays well. I think the Bengals are primed for a return near the top. They can score with the best of them. The Ravens are just a solid team throughout. If Cleveland were in a different division, they could finish higher.

AFC South

1 Houston

2 Jacksonville

3 Indianapolis

4 Tennessee

C.J. Stroud had a great rookie year followed by a so-so one. I think he's good enough to carry this team to the top of the division. The Jaguars should be better. The Colts could surprise some people, but I think they have a low ceiling with their quarterback situation. The Titans are young at quarterback but have some talent.

AFC West

1 Kansas City

2 Los Angeles Chargers

3 Denver

4 Las Vegas

Until proven otherwise, the Chiefs have to be the favorite. Their offense looks to be more explosive. The Chargers should continue their upward climb, but losing left tackle Rashawn Slater will hurt. The Broncos defense is top notch. It will help them win a lot of games. The Raiders might take a step up with Pete Carroll as their head coach.

NFC East

1 Philadelphia

2 Washington

3 Dallas

4 New York Giants

The Eagles are the Super Bowl champs. This division has had a different winner for 21 straight years. That's unbelievable, but I think the Eagles get it done again this year. The Commanders are definitely on the upswing with Jayden Daniels. The Cowboys will have a hard time on defense without Micah Parsons, but their offense should be very good. The Giants have a strong defense. If their offense shows up, they could have a good season.

NFC North

1 Green Bay

2 Detroit

3 Minnesota

4 Chicago

I was set to pick the Lions when the Packers got Micah Parsons. One of their only weaknesses was rushing the passer. This could put them over the top. Their secondary is rather weak, but I'll still take them this year. The Lions will win a ton of games, too. The Vikings will be interesting with their new quarterback, and the Bears will be better, maybe close to .500.

NFC South

1 Tampa Bay

2 Atlanta

3 Carolina

4 New Orleans

The Falcons are solid along their offensive line and at the skill positions. The Buccaneers are still the class of the division in my mind. The Panthers will be better with Bryce Young improving. The Saints will likely bring up the rear.

NFC West

1 San Francisco

2 Los Angeles Rams

3 Seattle

4 Arizona

The 49ers are picked to fall by some. I don't see it. If Matt Stafford stays healthy, the Rams will give them a battle. Seattle should have a very good team, too. Even the Cardinals could surprise a lot of people.

Playoff Seeding Projections

AFC

1 Buffalo

2 Baltimore

3 Kansas City

4 Houston

5 Cincinnati

6 Los Angeles Chargers

7 Denver

NFC

1 Philadelphia

2 Green Bay

3 San Francisco

4 Tampa Bay

5 Detroit

6 Washington

7 Los Angeles Rams

For comparison sake, here are Colin Cowherd's division predictions...
