Hurricane Helene knocked out all of my internet connections, including cellular connections, so I could not post my picks for Week 4. I went 9-7. It was a tough week for everyone to pick with all of the upsets.
Here are my picks for this week.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons Atlanta, and they won.
Minnesota Vikings vs. New York Jets (in London) Minnesota. The Vikings are undefeated but won't win them all. However, I'm not sure the Jets have enough clicking on offense to stop them this week.
Buffalo Bills at Houston Texans Buffalo. I think the Bills will have just enough edge to win this one over a good Houston offense and defense after getting embarrassed last week in Baltimore.
Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals Baltimore. The Bengals really need this game and will give it all they have, but their run defense is poor, and that's a bad matchup against the Ravens with Derrick Henry and company.
Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars Jacksonville. It's time for the Jaguars to break into the win column. The Colts have historically had big problems in Jacksonville, and QB Anthony Richardson is out. Joe Flacco isn't a bad replacement, but I think this is the Jaguars week to win.
Cleveland Browns at Washington Commanders Washington. QB Jayden Daniels is on fire, and I don't think the Browns cam score enough points to keep up.
Carolina Panthers at Chicago Bears Chicago. I think Caleb Williams will continue to slowly improve. The Panthers are better with Andy Dalton at quarterback, but maybe not good enough against the Bears defense.
Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots New England. The Patriots are not a good team, but the Dolphins are using their third quarterback with the first two being hurt.
Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers San Francisco. This could be a closer game than most people think, but the 49ers at home should be able to squeak out a win.
Las Vegas Raiders at Denver Broncos Denver. This pick is more of a nod to the coaching staff of the Broncos being better than that of the Raiders. Otherwise, it's too close to call.
Green Bay Packers at Los Angeles Rams Green Bay. The Rams have so many injuries that they resemble a train wreck. I saw the Green Bay offense get it in gear in the second half against the Vikings last week, so I think they can barely outscore the Rams.
New York Giants at Seattle Seahawks Seattle. The Seahawks defense was missing their entire front four last week. They are supposed to get a couple of them back this week. That spells trouble for the Giants who are missing their top receiver and running back.
Dallas Cowboys at Pittsburgh Steelers Pittsburgh. The Cowboys typically win these games when they are underdogs coming off of a loss, but the Steelers defense will be hard to handle in Pittsburgh.
New Orleans Saints at Kansas City Chiefs Kansas City. The Chiefs will drop a game soon if their offense doesn't step it up, but it's hard to pick against their defense playing at home.
May God always be your number 1 draft pick!
