Here are my winners for this week with comments on some of the games.
Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers have played like a bad football team for several weeks now. Even with that, they almost beat Carolina in Charlotte a couple of weeks ago. I think their experience will help them can get it done this time.
Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers San Francisco. The 49ers are on a roll and at home while Sam Darnold is not the same quarterback on the road as he is at home. I'll take the 49ers by a hair.
Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans Houston. This one could get ugly.
Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings Minnesota. The Packers are the better team, but they are not playing a lot of their regulars.
Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals Cincinnati. The Bengals are still playing hard. The Browns will try to play hard, but they are not nearly as good on the road as they are at home.
Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars Jacksonville.
New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons Atlanta. I'll pick the wrong team in this one. I almost always do when the game features the Falcons. They are the most schizophrenic team in the league. They win when they are supposed to lose and lose when they are supposed to win. I do NOT advocate gambling, but I'm confident I could make money if I always picked against whether I thought the Falcons would win or not.
Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants Dallas. Jerry Jones won't let the Cowboys mail this one in.
Los Angeles Chargers at Denver Broncos Denver. The Broncos want the number 1 seed in the AFC. The Chargers just want to take a nap and get healthy heading into the playoffs.
Washington Commanders at Philadelphia Eagles Philadelphia. This will be a close game only because the Eagles are sitting out some players, including Jalen Hurts.
New York Jets at Buffalo Bills Buffalo.
Kansas City Chiefs at Las Vegas Raiders Kansas City. The Raiders could win this game if they tried. They want the number 1 overall draft pick, so they are not trying.
Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears Chicago. The Lions will play with heart, but the Bears are just a better team right now.
Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots New England.
Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams Los Angeles Rams. The Rams say they will play their starters.
Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers I don't know. The Ravens are favorites. It makes sense with DK Metcalf not playing for the Steelers. However, the Steelers are hard to beat in Pittsburgh. Lamar Jackson says he will play. Give me Baltimore... I guess.
May God always be your number 1 draft pick!
