Picking Winners for Week 8 in the NFL
Tampa Bay at Buffalo Buffalo, and they won.
Atlanta Falcons at Tennessee Titans Atlanta. Ryan Tannehill will not be able to play, so rookie Will Levis and Malik Willis will be the quarterbacks. The Falcons are not good on the road, but I can't trust iffy quarterback play.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Pittsburgh Steelers Jacksonville. The Steelers offense mostly consists of short runs and slants to George Pickens. The Steelers might work their magic again, but I think it will take more offense than that to beat the Jaguars.
New York Jets at New York Giants New York Jets. I see the Jets defense controlling the game as long as Zach Wilson doesn't royally mess it up.
New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins Miami. I think it will take an injury to Tua for the Patriots to win this game.
Los Angeles Rams at Dallas Cowboys Dallas. The Cowboys play great at home and not so well on the road. Luckily for them, this one is in Texas.
Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Commanders Philadelphia. The Commanders pulled a surprise last year by beating the Eagles, but I don't see that happening today.
Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers Green Bay. This game was the most difficult for me to pick. Kirk Cousins is playing well lately, but I think the Packers coaching staff will come up with screens and runs to keep the Vikings blitzing defense off of Jordan Love.
New Orleans Saints at Indianapolis Colts Indianapolis. This is another tough game to pick. Gardner Minshew can be very good or very bad. I'm hoping for the good one this week.
Houston Texans at Carolina Panthers Houston. The Panthers are not going to lose every game, and this just might be the week they win. The Texans have been playing pretty well, so I can't pick this to be the week for the Panthers.
Cleveland Browns at Seattle Seahawks Seattle. The Browns are starting P. J. Walker instead of Deshaun Watson. That's enough for me to pick the Seahawks.
Cincinnati Bengals at San Francisco 49ers San Francisco. Brock Purdy is on track to start the game, and the 49ers are coming off two close losses. I think this is a bad spot for the Bengals.
Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos Kansas City. A day will come when the Broncos beat the Chiefs, but I can't pick it today. I think the Chiefs defense helps them win a close one.
Baltimore Ravens at Arizona Cardinals Baltimore. It looks like Kyler Murray is finally healthy, but he's not going to play. I don't blame the Cardinals for not wanting to start Murray in his first game back against this Ravens defense.
Chicago Bears at Los Angeles Chargers Los Angeles Chargers. If the Chargers don't handle the Bears after coming off two losses, I'll be shocked.
Las Vegas Raiders at Detroit Lions Detroit. The Lions were humiliated by the Ravens last week. They will really take it out on the Raiders on Monday night.
May God always be your number 1 draft pick!
