Two teams have a bye this week. Here are my picks...
Denver Broncos at New Orleans Saints Denver, and they won.
New England Patriots vs. Jacksonville Jaguars in London Jacksonville. A loss by either of these teams, and they can kiss this season goodbye. The Patriots are playing rookie Drake Maye in his second start. I like the experience of the Jaguars.
Seattle Seahawks at Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta. This should be a close game. Kirk Cousins usually plays very well at home, so I'll take the homestanding Falcons.
Tennessee Titans at Buffalo Bills Buffalo. This should be a blowout, but the Titans defense could make this a game for awhile.
Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns Cincinnati. The final score in this game very well could be 13-10. I think the Bengals will have the higher score. Joe Burrow is just better than Deshaun Watson.
Houston Texans at Green Bay Packers Green Bay. The Texans are 5-1 while the Packers are 4-2. This could be the game of the day. Expect the Texans to give the Packers all they want. However, if Jordan Love plays a relatively clean game, I think the Packers will win a close one.
Miami Dolphins at Indianapolis Colts Indianapolis. The Dolphins are just pitiful without Tua at quarterback. Pitiful teams on the road rarely win.
Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings Minnesota. I know the Lions just blew out the Cowboys, but this Vikings team is something special and might have just enough at home to eke out a win.
Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants Philadelphia. I don't particularly like the way either team is playing, but the Eagles have more overall talent, including the Giants old running back, Saquon Barkley.
Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Rams Los Angeles Rams. Tom Brady just acquired a 10% stake in the Raiders. It probably won't help them. The Raiders shouldn't be picked to win over any decent team on the road.
Carolina Panthers at Washington Commanders Washington. The Panthers have scored 100 less points than they have given up this year. That's a bad stat when going up against a very strong offense.
Kansas City Chiefs at San Francisco 49ers San Francisco. This is a Super Bowl 58 rematch. Since Patrick Mahomes has been with the Chiefs, they are 4-0 against the 49ers. How many times can you beat a good team without losing? With the Chiefs not hitting on all cylinders on offense, I have a feeling this is the 49ers turn to win.
New York Jets at Pittsburgh Steelers New York Jets. Aaron Rodgers now has Davante Adams to catch passes from him. That should give him the confidence he needs to win this game on the road.
Baltimore Ravens at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Baltimore. Another week, another NFC opponent for Lamar Jackson. He is now 22-1 in his career against the NFC. The NFC teams generally only see Jackson once every four years. You just can't prepare for his speed if you haven't seen him before.
Los Angeles Chargers at Arizona Cardinals Los Angeles Chargers. This is the toughest game for me to pick this week. The Chargers have the more solid team, but the Cardinals often put it together at home against pretty good teams.
May God always be your number 1 draft pick!
