Detroit Lions at Kansas City Chiefs Kansas City, but Detroit won.
Tennessee Titans at New Orleans Saints New Orleans. The Saints will find out how well Derek Carr has adapted to his new team. I think it will be just well enough to win.
Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns Cincinnati. This will be a tougher game than most might think. An upset would not surprise me in the least. If Joe Burrow doesn't have too much rust from his calf injury, the Bengals will probably pull out a win.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Minnesota Vikings Minnesota. I don't have faith in the Buccaneers to do much of anything this year.
Houston Texans at Baltimore Ravens Baltimore. This game should be a cakewalk.
San Francisco 49ers at Pittsburgh Steelers Pittsburgh. The Steelers are an excellent team when playing the first game of a season. Do you remember their win over the Bengals last year on opening day? How about the win over the Bills the year before on opening day?
Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons Atlanta. I'm high on the Falcons this year. It will be hard for Bryce Young to win his opening game as a rookie on the road.
Arizona Cardinals at Washington Commanders Washington. The Commanders send the Cardinals to the first of many losses this year.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts Jacksonville. The Jaguars lose to some teams that they have no business losing to, but I think they will get this opening day win.
Philadelphia Eagles at New England Patriots Philadelphia. Bill Belichick has had the whole summer to prepare for Jalen Hurts and the Eagles offense. It probably won't matter.
Miami Dolphins at Los Angeles Chargers Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers ran an interesting defensive scheme last year against the Dolphins. They played an extra defender in the middle of the field where the Dolphins like to have their receivers break open. That caused timing issues. If they play that same defense, it might be tough on the Dolphins.
Las Vegas Raiders at Denver Broncos Denver. Nothing would surprise me in this game. I'll take a guess that Sean Payton has coached up Russell Wilson enough to win this game at home, but I'm not very confident of it.
Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears Chicago. I had to rub my eyes after printing Chicago to win this game. When is the last time I picked the Bears to beat the Packers? I can't even remember it! Jordan Love might play well enough to win, but I just can't pick him on the road until I actually see him do it.
Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks Seattle. The Rams have a young team and no Cooper Kupp for at least the first four weeks.
Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants Dallas. The Giants haven't beaten the Cowboys in a loooong time. This game should be close, but I think the defense of the Cowboys will win it.
Buffalo Bills at New York Jets Buffalo. It would be a fun story if Aaron Rodgers won his first game as a Jet. I have picked the Jets to finish well this year. They might pull out a win here, but I'm going with the veteran Buffalo team to go on the road and remind everyone just how good they are.
May God always be your number 1 draft pick!
